About
Hi! I’m Emma, a student dietitian studying in London. I’m currently in my second year of a BSc in Dietetics and Nutrition.

How did I get here?
After working an office job for a few years, I realised life is too short and I should work in an area I’m passionate about. I wanted to start this blog to give me a place to share my findings from the nutrition-related rabbit holes I inevitably go down once every couple of weeks (and make those hours of reading seem productive!)
What is Spring Nutrition?
But, this space is also for me to share science-backed evidence on nutrition, presented in an easy-to-understand way. I want to help people learn how to critically look at posts about nutrition they see online - as unfortunately, there is a lot of not-so-great ‘advice’ out there.
One of the reasons I was drawn to study nutrition and dietetics was to be able to decipher fact from fiction in the huge online space of nutrition. Sometimes it felt like wherever I looked, I would find conflicting information on what was best for my health, but very few were able to bring up actual evidence to support their case. So after I started training as a dietitian, I decided to try to tackle this head on through spaces like this blog!
