As a trainee dietitian who’s realised just how vast the world of nutrition science is, I like to spend some of my time researching topics that interest me and writing about them. There’s so many areas that aren’t even touched on in my university lectures - simply because there’s so much information to cover and specialisms out there.

I’m interested in anything nutrition-related and aim to understand the science behind it all. I believe that a marker of understanding a topic thoroughly is being able to explain it clearly and simply to someone who doesn’t have the same level of expertise and knowledge. So, this is what this blog aims to do!

The different topics discussed here might seem quite random as I like to talk about what captures my interest at different times. This can be influenced by what I’m learning at university or working on during my placements, topics that I’ve seen people talk about online, or areas that I think could be interested in specialising in in the future.
